be heard.

Listen. Communicate. Collaborate. Act.

As a school board director I will…

  • LISTEN to our community, parents, teachers, and students to find programs and solutions that address what is important to them.
  • COMMUNICATE with all who have something to say. Whether it is the city, Ashland parks, our BIPOC community leaders, our teacher’s union, or our elected officials it is imperative that constructive communication happens.
  • COLLABORATE with existing nonprofits who are doing the heavy lifting in our community already to reach our underserved populations and develop programs and outreach to ensure equity.
  • ACT by addressing: staffing to ensure our teacher demographic matches our student demographic, racial disparity gaps in discipline, adding professional development for conflict resolution, and providing bilingual access to English language learners to ensure the opportunity gap is closed.
